Dr. Christos Philippou, M.D. is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Traumatologist, who since                                                                                                                  01.01.2019 is  practicing in Limassol, Cyprus.

 

                                                                                                  Dr. Philippou completed his studies at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in                                                                                                              Prague and is trained in General Orthopaedics and Traumatology. For the last 32 years he has                                                                                                      been an active member of the Cyprus Orthopedic Society.

 

                                                                                                  He obtained his specialty in University Hospitals in Prague, Czech Republic.

 

                                                                                                 From 1987 to 1997 he has worked as the director and head of a private clinic in Limassol. Following    this, and up until the end of 2018, he moved his practice to the Famagusta Province where he co-operated with four private hospitals and medical centers.

 

For 20 years he has been a physician for soccer teams in the first division and for various other sports’ teams such as basketball, volleyball, diving, judo, boxing and other martial arts. He is an official physician for the CFA and has accompanied national teams abroad on several occasions.

 

As a practicing orthopaedic surgeon for the last 37 years, he has extensive experience with the entire spectrum of orthopaedic conditions and their treatment, with a special focus in arthroplasty, musculoskeletal injuries, arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine.
